Where Was Fury Road Filmed: A Behind-the-Scenes Adventure

Fury Road, the high-octane action film starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, was shot in some of the most breathtaking and unforgiving landscapes on Earth. The crew took advantage of the unique terrains in Namibia, South Africa, and Iceland to create stunning and immersive visuals. The Namib Desert provided the backdrop for many of the action sequences, with its towering sand dunes and desolate scenery. Namibia also offered crews access to the Swakopmund Salt Flats, which were used to create the salt plains where Furiousa’s War Rig was first introduced. Additionally, scenes were filmed in the remote Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world.
